The mountains are a kaleidescope of color, the air is fresh & crisp, and the fall festivals are in full swing. Now is a perfect time to invest in property. The Coosawattee River Resort is offering mountain lots, spectacular mountain and river views. The time is now to grab your piece of nature!
Lots range in size from .10 of an acre for deeded campground lots exclusively for campers, RVs and travel trailers as well as .5 acres to 1.5 acres for residential lots in various scenic locations around the resort including a limited number of river front lots and several with mountain views.

The Georgia mountain resort is located in Gilmer County just over 75 miles north of Atlanta in the Blue Ridge Mountains and at the foothills of the legendary Appalachian Mountain Range. So, why does Georgia celebrate apples anyway? In the early 1900′s cotton was a large part of Georgia’s economy, but by the 1920’s the boll weevil beetle arrived and practically ruined the cotton industry. Apple orchards saved the day for Georgia, and Gilmer County, by bolstering the economy. In the early 1970’s, Georgia started celebrating the apple for saving the local economy during the hard times created by the loss of the cotton crops.

Ellijay apples are "absolutely the best". When you pick Ellijay for apples you get the juiciest, crunchiest, and yummiest apples of them all. Nestled in the mighty Appalachian Mountains, Ellijay is the center of Georgia's apple country. From late August to December, roadside stands overflow with the most scrumptious mountain apples around. And when purchasing directly from the growers, the apples are better tasting, fresher, less expensive.

Come on out to Ellijay, Georgia this October and stay at The Villas at Coosawattee River Resort. Enjoy the resort with all its amenities as well as its close proximity to the Apple Festival. Make it a weekend autumn getaway filled with sweet adventures for all! For more information or to make reservations:
