Hippity hoppity, Easter is on its way, and what a better time and place than the North Georgia Mountains to spend your Spring Break and Easter holiday! If you like mountain views bursting with blossoms, rambling rivers, and outdoor activities, check out our suggestions for the ultimate mountain spring adventure. While these ideas are inexpensive, the trip is still one that’s packed full of fun, excitement, and wonderful memories to be made.

Easter Egg Hunt

First, let’s start with the Easter holiday. The Coosawattee River Resort is a hosting an Easter Egg Hunt on April 19th at 10am sharp in Fishtrap Park. Bring all of your little hoppers and enjoy a day surrounded by the joys of a good ole egg hunt, mountains speckled with blossoms, and spring adventures.

North Georgia Spring Blossoms

Every spring around March, the North Georgia Mountains start to turn out some of the most vivid and assorted forest wildflower displays anywhere! Along the mountain streams, roadsides, trails, rocks, and peaks, thousands of wildflowers make a collage of pastel and brilliant colors.  Note that the earliest blooms begin at the lower elevations and progress during the season to the higher elevations. The stunning flowering rhododendrons are particularly magnificent and a major spring attraction.
